Three original synthetic sound effects demonstrate the humorous meaning of barking spider: an imaginary culprit for a fart. This video shows each effect's waveform and a moving playhead. It contains no footage or recordings of real spiders.
Transcript and listening guide
- 0–4 seconds: Pocket pop. A short toot begins half a second into the panel, then fades to silence.
- 4–8 seconds: Rolling rasp. A longer series of uneven pulses begins at 4.5 seconds.
- 8–12 seconds: Hallway tail. The short source returns at 8.5 seconds with added digital echoes.
The silent space after each example is intentional. Compare the duration of the original noise with the reverberation left behind. Captions describe the sounds without requiring audio.
